OFCC Sues City of Cleveland Heights, Ohio The sign you see here is posted in Cleveland Heights Parks implying possession of a firearm is a crime. On Friday August 12th, 2011 Ohioans For Concealed Carry Filed a lawsuit against the City the City of Cleveland Heights. The litigation comes after many attempts to resolve concerns over laws that Cleveland Heights not only allowed to remain on their books, but also posted signs at their parks that continue to imply it is illegal to be armed. The City of Cleveland Heights has chosen to ignore our attempts at civil discourse. When individuals have contacted them representing themselves as residents of the City of Cleveland Heights their concerns apparently fell on deaf ears. When representatives of the organization have formally contacted the city's legal representation they've been laughed at and hung up on by the Law Director. It is this arrogance and refusal to work with Ohioans For Concealed Carry that has forced us to seek a remedy through the courts.
Our press release follows.

$5 for five minutes!

OFCC, like every organization of this nature, needs to pursue every available avenue for fund raising. That's why I'd like you to take a moment and consider signing up for PayPal. The whole process will take you about five minutes and both you and OFCC will make $5 out of it. Sounds too good to be true? Be sure to read more if you'd like to help each of us make a few bucks...

Here is how it works:

PayPal is a very popular system for making credit card payments over the Internet. We happen to be a verified Business customer of PayPal and can make $5 bonuses for simply refering you to them as a new customer.

To become a new PayPal customer you will need to provide them with some information via their secure (encrypted) webserver. This includes a credit card, a checking or savings account, your home address, etc. You'll also have to populate your account with $100 -- but don't worry, you don't have to spend it. In exchange for helping us make a $5 bonus and establishing this account with PayPal they will also give you $5. You can keep it, or you can tell PayPal (after you get it) to send it to us to double our bonus! Sounds good?

Here are the steps:

  • First, after you've read these directions be sure to follow This link to PayPal which will tell them we referred you.

  • Next, you'll need to provide PayPal with your credit card information (they keep this private obviously, they let you use it to make purchases -- but if you never make a purchase after you set this up you won't lose the bonus)

  • You'll also need to populate your PayPal account with $100 -- but don't worry, nobody is asking you to spend it.

  • Everything we've mentioned here, as well as the steps we may have missed, will be easily found on the PayPal website when you start the process. They'll walk you through every step of the way.

Now what? -- You've got a PayPal account, so what can you do with it? Well you can send any other PayPal user (there are five million of them) a payment right from your bank account or credit card for free. If you want to auction something off (say, i dunno, gunbroker.com ?) you can receive payments for your firearm electronically and watch them just show up in your bank account!

Use of PayPal on auction sites like eBay, Amazon, and many others is VERY common. -- If you refer any of your friends to eBay have them follow our link, or, just tell them to say info @ ofcc.net referred them!

The uses of PayPal are rather endless and the system is by far incredibly secure. In just a few days OFCC will allow you to use PayPal to renew or establish a new membership, buy a denim shirt, or just make a cash donation (via credit card!)

NOTE: By registering an account with PayPal absolutely none of your personal information will be divulged to OFCC besides your real name and email address. We will never see your credit card number, it is kept private by PayPal's system.
