By: Larry S. Moore, OFCC District 10 Coordinator WHIO TV is reporting that Carvers, a fine family dining steakhouse in Washington Township (Centerville area) was robbed early Saturday morning. I've had the pleasure of dining at Carvers and recently celebrated one of my best friends birthday with dinner there. While I could write a wonderful restaurant review, complete with great recommendations, I must report that once again diners, families, and employees are left defenseless thanks to the state mandated CPZ of prohibiting the CHL holder to carry in establishments that serve alcohol. There are regularly families with children of all ages, enjoying their meals at Carvers. Several of the wait staff are college area students working to help pay their way through college. So why does the State of Ohio believe that my family does not deserve protection in restaurants just because alcohol is served? |
