OFCC Sues City of Cleveland Heights, Ohio
The sign you see here is posted in Cleveland Heights Parks implying possession of a firearm is a crime.
On Friday August 12th, 2011 Ohioans For Concealed Carry Filed a lawsuit against the City the City of Cleveland Heights. The litigation comes after many attempts to resolve concerns over laws that Cleveland Heights not only allowed to remain on their books, but also posted signs at their parks that continue to imply it is illegal to be armed. The City of Cleveland Heights has chosen to ignore our attempts at civil discourse. When individuals have contacted them representing themselves as residents of the City of Cleveland Heights their concerns apparently fell on deaf ears. When representatives of the organization have formally contacted the city's legal representation they've been laughed at and hung up on by the Law Director. It is this arrogance and refusal to work with Ohioans For Concealed Carry that has forced us to seek a remedy through the courts.

Canton PD Event Leads to New OFCC Legislation
When officer Harless of the Canton, Ohio police department came upon a vehicle stopped in the roadway most of us were focused on getting restaurant carry legislation signed into law.
What took place that evening has become an international viral video, calls for the resignation of the City Council president, and criminal charges against a man who is clearly heard trying to state that he has a license.
Ohioans For Concealed Carry has not just raised thousands of dollars in a legal defense fund, but we've written legislation to resolve this matter that Representative Danny Bubp has stated he's going to introduce this fall

Comments by Larry S. Moore, OFCC Senate District 10 Coordinator:
"WHIO-TV is reporting a bold robbery of the UDF store on Linden Avenue in Riverside over the weekend. I was at a business next door to this location on my lunch hour on Monday when I noticed the WHIO-TV news van in the UDF parking lot.
This is one of two UDF stores that I regularly frequented prior to their posting for no guns. I spoke with the manager of this very store regarding the posting. One of the questions I asked was, "Do you believe the criminals will obey the signs?". Now the answer is a resounding NO!
Columbus area UDF locations have been the subject of a number of robberies. The trend could be spreading to other cities as criminals spot the no guns CPZ signs. What is so bold about this robbery? The thief was assured there would be no armed resistance to the robbery. The posted signs force the lawful CHL holder to be unarmed if we choose to enter business's that are posted.
UDF policy forces their store employees to become unarmed victims. No the robbery was not bold at all. Perhaps the WHIO-TV headline would better read, "Confident Robber Did Not Hide His Face". Perhaps a stupid criminal for not hiding his face but not so dumb for picking a posted no resistance UDF.
I've lost six pounds since I am no longer eating UDF ice cream or shakes three to four times a week. Maybe instead of complaining, I should send UDF a thank you note also! Prior to the UDF posting, I would have enjoyed ice cream today. Now I am thankful that I avoid stores that post so I reduce my chances of becoming a victim."
Is United Dairy Farmers Director of Security John W. Osborne still under the delusion that no-guns signs can keep UDF patrons and employees safe? Can his boss still have confidence in Osborne after all the evidence to the contrary?
