OFCC Sues City of Cleveland Heights, Ohio The sign you see here is posted in Cleveland Heights Parks implying possession of a firearm is a crime. On Friday August 12th, 2011 Ohioans For Concealed Carry Filed a lawsuit against the City the City of Cleveland Heights. The litigation comes after many attempts to resolve concerns over laws that Cleveland Heights not only allowed to remain on their books, but also posted signs at their parks that continue to imply it is illegal to be armed. The City of Cleveland Heights has chosen to ignore our attempts at civil discourse. When individuals have contacted them representing themselves as residents of the City of Cleveland Heights their concerns apparently fell on deaf ears. When representatives of the organization have formally contacted the city's legal representation they've been laughed at and hung up on by the Law Director. OFCC Speaking at Medina County Friends And Neighbors Breakfast

Ohioans for Concealed Carry has been invited to speak at the next county breakfast of the Medina County Friends And Neighbors this Saturday, January 10th. The breakfast will be held from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at the Golden Corral restaurant located at 4913 Grande Blvd, Medina

The published topic is the 2nd Amendment which can be anticipated to be under some pressure with the new administration and the Pelosi Congress/Reid Senate, but MCFAN thinks there is also a lot of interest in the current status and societal benefits of CCW in Ohio, as well as the state and national outlook for further improvement.

There will be a 15 to 20 minute briefing followed by a 15 – 20 minute Question and Answer session. Medina County Sheriff Neil F. Hassinger is expected to be attending the event as well.

Medina County Friends and Neighbors (MCFAN) is a grassroots organization committed to preserving and promoting basic American values and beliefs, their purpose is to help those who have not previously been politically active to become engaged, get involved, and make a difference in our political system.

Many people are daunted by the rules, regulations, and other obstacles that seem at time to have been erected just for the purpose of keeping the average American left out of the political process of which they are the Constitutional "Owners". We provide the welcome center for those people, and provide a relaxed, casual atmosphere in which they can meet with likeminded persons, talk with elected officials and help shape the future.
