OFCC Sues City of Cleveland Heights, Ohio The sign you see here is posted in Cleveland Heights Parks implying possession of a firearm is a crime. On Friday August 12th, 2011 Ohioans For Concealed Carry Filed a lawsuit against the City the City of Cleveland Heights. The litigation comes after many attempts to resolve concerns over laws that Cleveland Heights not only allowed to remain on their books, but also posted signs at their parks that continue to imply it is illegal to be armed. The City of Cleveland Heights has chosen to ignore our attempts at civil discourse. When individuals have contacted them representing themselves as residents of the City of Cleveland Heights their concerns apparently fell on deaf ears. When representatives of the organization have formally contacted the city's legal representation they've been laughed at and hung up on by the Law Director. It is this arrogance and refusal to work with Ohioans For Concealed Carry that has forced us to seek a remedy through the courts.
Our press release follows.

Bikes and Bullets at Big Darby Creek Shooting Range

Come one, come all! May 30th - Bikes and Bullets at Big Darby Creek Shooting Range at 875 Middle Pike in West Jefferson Ohio.

OFCC Motorcyclists have beckoned for years about riding out to "somewhere" and shooting pistols, this winter was a rough one and was no different - to that end the members have put together a day of shooting at BDCS for both motorcyclists and "cagers" (that would be non-motorcycle riding folks).

There will be groups of bikers riding from different areas of the state to converge at Big Darby, confirmed at this moment is a group from Medina Ohio (New Century Harley) and from the Dayton Area (70 & 75). Other groups may opt to gather or you can meet at the range at 11:00 (please see the forum thread below for details).

OFCC friends got a taste of informal IDPA shooting on May 2nd at the annual Fun and Gun and this event will be a GREAT addition to that style training and shooting. The stages will be based upon IDPA formats, but are meant to be fun and educational.

Big Darby has donated 3 range bays for a half a day and as this is NOT a sanctioned OFCC event (like the Fun and Gun was), volunteers are still needed to help with: Range Safety Officer (X2) and Food Preparation.

Please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to confirm attendance as we need to get a count, also if you can volunteer for RSO or Food Prep, please indicate your willingness. RSO's will need to provide credentials (NRA, IDPA, USPSA or OPOTC) to Big Darby prior to the event.
