Early this morning, a man attempted to rob a Columbus BP gas station but was shot by the clerk on duty. He was transported to a local hospital and is reportedly in serious condition. This incident is a marked difference from a string of robberies in Medina County that have officials asking the public for help. When criminals face armed citizens, their odds of successfully committing a crime drop to near zero. All too often, these robberies end with the injury or death of innocent citizens unable to protect themselves. This clerk had no such problem and survived without injury. |
