I've witnessed the growing anger as more and more Americans are waking from a long slumber and becoming aware of the scope of government abuse and interference in their lives. It's great to see happening. Unfortunately, I also see ways in which the phenomenon is being derailed and even hijacked.

In spite of good intentions and passion, many of the newly active have not been studying the issues long enough or deeply enough to claim more than a surface understanding. This renders them particularly vulnerable to savvy demagogues, those who know the system and who know how to manipulate others to get what they want, that is, pros who have been doing it for years.

You know, politicians.
