NRA Certified Firearms Instructors are qualified to teach the course material required by Ohio's concealed carry law. Persons certified by OPOTA as firearms instructors are also permitted to teach the class material. Instructors employed by this and other states and other government agencies are also recognized as qualified. It should be noted that it may not be the case that a certified NRA Instructor only certified to teach a shotgun course would NOT satisfy the "qualified instructor" test.
