Can you tell me if my scenario is considered |

Absolutely not. First, we are not lawyers. Second, we can not interpret the law for you. This is one of the more controversial areas of the new law. Calling your police department or asking your Sheriff is both ill advised and ineffective. No police officer worth their salt will tell you how to comply with such a vague law since every department and every prosecutor can interpret this based on their definition of what is or is not "in plain sight".
This is a very common question that we can not answer. Our best hope is that the General Assembly will fix this quickly. Do your part - join OFCC and contact your legislators!
