The Dispatch has repeated its anti-CCW stance in a recent editorial. In it, they resurrect one of the ancient arguments against CCW, suggesting that only criminals have a need to hide a weapon, and that law abiding citizens can carry in the open. Anyone care to try open carry in downtown Cleveland? |

The campaign of emotional confusion and obfiscation has officially begun. A medical Doctor has become the puppet of the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence and, during a press conference on the steps to the Statehouse, made a speech of his job and how many people he has seen die from murder or gun shot wounds. I find it funny when they say "it'll make the job of a cop harder at traffic stops" while ignoring his duty to approach every incident as if all were armed, and now in this case exploiting the profession of a emergency room doctor where violence is simply the name of the game. Obfiscation, confusion, and emotional sensationalism. Doctor speaks out against bill to allow concealed weapons enquirer coverage: Click Here

The Lifetime Network had a one hour show on guns and gun control
on TV Monday at 8:00PM. I suspect that it will be on again. It, in my
opinion, remained remarkably free of selecting a position while talking
to Heston, MMM, SAS, Handgun Control, etc. etc. It had pictures
inside a gun show in NY, discussions with the Rep from Texas whose
parent's were shot in Luby's Cafeteria, Rosie O'Donnell, people who
have defended themselves, and people who have had relatives shot and
killed. I recommend taking a listen. I do not know off hand when it will
be repeated. It actually ended with a plea for dialogue rather than
"common sense" gun laws. |
