Representative Aslanides introduced House Bill 274 today (or yesterday). A PDF version of the bill is now availale here off our website. You can also find it on the State General Assembly website. One thing you'll notice on this bill is that it has an impressive forty-nine co-sponsors, but don't get too impressed, so did the famous House Bill 165 last session. Assuming all the co-sponsors voted for the bill it would easily get the one or more votes neccesary to pass out of the House if a floor vote was granted because the Speaker of the House isn't listed as a co-sponsor. There are a lot of problems with this bill and where it will be heading is unclear really. The question is where, when, and how will these bills collide in the Criminal Justice Committee? IMPORTANT NOTICE: CJC Hearings for H225 are Tuesday. Please attend if at all possible to help us fill chairs in the room! Speaker slots are limited, especially if they sneak HB274 onto the agenda.

Poor Toby Hoover keeps losing left and right. Check out the OCAGV latest disappointment: Board turns down request to take stand on gun bill

As I started to read this I expected to find something bad, but to my surprised I found a joke printed as an editorial. Don't be fooled, while this is funny to many of us, the anti-gun brainwashed America will read this and say "yeah!". They won't see the humor or the sarcasm, but check it out anyway: Banning guns: It's a good thing (Akron Beacon Journal)
