On Friday, March 23rd 2001 Mike Trivisonno (click here for biography/picture on WTAM website), quite possibly Cleveland talk-radio's most popular show and time slot on WTAM 1100 AM again insulted gun owners on his show. Mr. Trivisonno, probably one of the most obnoxious big mouths in broadcast media, supposedly called into his own show during his vacation to call the NRA and it's membership "Crazy, Redneck, Sons of Bitches". Trivisonno apparently blames the NRA, it's membership, and people like you and me for school shootings. If you're a long time follower of our efforts you'll remember he did the same thing in November of 1999 (link to old website). If you live in the northern Ohio area consider getting involved in this boycott yet again. For more information, please read on... UPDATED: Sunday, 11:53pm: See included FCC rules on personal attacks! |

The Columbus Dispatch is running a pro-ccw editorial here: Law-abiding citizens seek to defend selves. All I can say is the author, Charles L. Massie, used simple logic to portray his opinion in two simple paragraphs and they printed it! |

This article at The Times Dispatch is a great story about Virginia's CCW law and how it has been successful. This is also an incredible source of information on the critics of the law and how their predictions of blood in the streets never came true. The Ohio Chiefs of Police Association could learn something here. |

This article from The Albuquerque Journal in New Mexico shows that their Governor, Gary Johnson, is going to sign into law a newly passed right to carry bill. The bill is not perfect in any way since it has a $100 application fee, $50 yearly renewal, and the potential for individual local governments to nullify the permit -- but the fact is New Mexico will become 44th on the map to pass a right to carry reform bill. Proponents say the city exemption clause won't pass constitutionally, so there is some hope. Now -- lets make Ohio 45th.

The Richmond Heights Police Chief is being printed in just about every newspaper in Ohio. His flawed logic is typical of the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police. Their arrogant position appears to be clear: Cops can have guns on or off duty, but the subjects of the State of Ohio may not. Be sure to read his article at the Columbus Dispatch: A concealed-carry law would mean more guns |
