Supposedly a 14 year old Dayton area boy shot at a woman in a parking lot (sound familiar?) and then stole her car from her. The anti-gun side might play this off as "kids and their access to guns", but the real burning question is: why can't this woman have access to a firearm for self-defense in Ohio? Read more for the story...

The World Net Daily has this story about a "Million" Mom (March) activist who acquired a firearm, then supposedly attempted to shoot and possibly kill someone she suspected of killing her son. However, she shot the wrong man. Talk about irony. Now she's been convicted and I truly hope she goes to jail for a very long time. The revenge shooting against the innocent Kikko Smith, age 23, has left Smith paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair for life.

If you havn't heard yet there has been another "mass casualty" public shooting. You can read about it online at CNN. I've only got two things to say: Wouldn't not reporting on these incidents until well after they happen, with less breaking news mentality, reduce the desire for more people to do it? And if one of the many men in the factory had a right to carry a firearm for self-defense in that plant would as many people (or any for that matter) have died? Apparently ratings mean too much.

This story from The Dayton Daily News (Friday) describes the ordeal a 21 year old man and 18 year old female companion put a cab driver through in the Dayton Area. Each face twenty or more years of likely jail time, but get this: Assistant county prosecutor Michelle Phipps... "agreed to dismiss a second aggravated robbery count against both defendants and a firearm specification against Brown." Why?! Yet another example of criminals with guns not being charged with the crime in exchange for a plea bargain?
