From the Dayton Daily News. This is the last installment about gun sales between private individuals at the Hara Arena Goodman Gun Show. Nice to know we are all criminals because we ask to purchase firearms "In the next 15 minutes, eight people approached and asked if they could buy the gun we'd just purchased." A plainclothes detective from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, invited along to observe any activity, said most, if not all, of the eight probably have criminal records. "That's the
only way they can buy guns," he said. Editor's Note: No. Those 8 people refuse to be victims of the NCIS registration database. This "detective" is presuming guilt until proven NICS approved.

Criminal wants $600,000 after being shot by homeowner defending his home. "The suit says Henderson had no reason to shoot her because she didn't pose a threat. I can't believe it myself. The Canton Repository printed a really nasty editorial a few weeks ago and then managed to follow up with four pro-ccw letters to the editors. It started with this one which was later followed by two more (including one I wrote). Then, they printed yet another well written letter to the editors in favor of CCW rights here, yesterday. Reminder: Let's keep up the pressure on House Speaker Householder's office. If you have not done so already please call today and let them know how important moving CCW legislation along swiftly is to you. (614) 466-2501

While work is set to begin in committees on each proposal, Mr. Householder had little to say about a more controversial measure. Many Republican and some Democrat lawmakers support a bill that would let Ohioans carry concealed weapons
with a permit, but that was not among the speaker's priorities. "As far as the conceal and carry (proposal) is concerned, I don't think it's a natural priority for the people of Ohio," Mr. Householder said. The Beacon Journal has this story from Tuesday about the trial of a man and a woman accused of being involved in a November home invasion. If you read deep in the story you'll find that the victim managed to retrieve a handgun and shoot one of the female attackers in the leg. Thats what I call safe storage.

The following news update was submitted to OFCC from Chuck Klein, the lead plaintiff in the Hamilton County CCW lawsuit:
Because the Ohio Supreme Court has NOT decided the simple motion by the City of Cincinnati to allow outside counsel, we (the Plaintiff's) have, in order to move the case along, agreed to allow outside counsel
