OFCC Central Ohio Meeting (Sat. April 7) PDF Print E-mail
Written by Jeff Garvas
Thursday, 15 March 2001
Some OFCC members and I are working on the final details of hosting a central Ohio OFCC meeting on Saturday the 7th of April, but we need to see how many will be attending so we can secure a place that can accommodate all of us. I've received many e-mails from folks living here in central Ohio who want to get more involved with OFCC, and I'd like to get to know a bunch of you, and what kinds of ideas and projects you want to implement to spread the word about OFCC and the need to reform our inhibiting laws. I'd like to spend the majority of the time letting folks talk and ask question they may have concerning CCW in Ohio and where we are headed in the near future. We're the Cincinnati Police: We're here to raid you! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Jeff Garvas
Thursday, 15 March 2001
Although not very related to the cause, The Cincinnati Post is running this story about The Cincinnati Police Department kicking the door of a woman's apartment in, with a warrant, and then realizing they in fact had the wrong house!. But this isn't the best part. An unknown time later (maybe even the same day) the same exact department (different officers) received an "anonymous tip" and stormed the apartment again! I'm anything but anti-police officer, but this is absurd. I hope this woman wins her lawsuit.

This link goes to the Akron Beacon Journal "voice of the people" where my response was printed. I wrote this response last week, after reading this scathing editorial that links pro-ccw Ohoians to the likes of accused school shooters. I'm amazed they printed the entire letter. Be sure to spread this one around!
