NBC affiliate WKYC Channel 3 (Cleveland) aired and published this story on their website Saturday evening. Apparently a corrections officer (non-commissioned) was attacked in Warrensville Heights, Ohio (suburb of Cleveland) and stabbed. He apparently shot and killed his attacker, but remains in intensive care recovering from the stabbing to his neck. Ohio law, by definition, prohibits this individual from carrying a concealed weapon. However, he more than likely will not be brought up on charges. This is yet another case of justified self-defense with a firearm, but it's also another example of "just the cops" getting to have that right every one of us should have.
