The New Mexico Gun Owners Forum has the news about the 44th state to offer some form of concealed carry. This legislation was originally going to be held up by the Speaker refusing to sign the bill. What caused it to pass? Intense grass roots activisim like that mentioned on the NMGO website: Rep. Russel sent an email to NMGOF to thank everyone for our work in getting CCW passed: ""Many, many thanks for all your help - you really helped to release it (the CCW bill) from the Speaker's office. I don't know if that would have happened without your members calling, faxing and e-mailing."Russel said in the email. "The Speaker had meltdown on his phone lines - they even called me to complain..."
--- Have you written a real letter and called your State Representatives today? Have you used our online system to identify and e-mail your Representatives? If you're not getting involved just what are you doing?
