Recently Cincinnati's lawsuit against gun manufacturers was thrown out. Having filed the suit in the first place, the implication is that Cincinnati is very hostile to gun owners and the right to self defense. It's my understanding that Ohio does not have concealed carry. (read more)
I have to wonder how many disarmed/unarmed people were hurt as a result of this position and how much property was destroyed because owners had no means to defend themselves. Once again, the police lost control of a situation and did not protect the public. What I really don't understand is why it took three days to declare a curfew. Wasn't the first night of rioting a good time to impose a curfew? Once again we have a perfect example of why an armed citizenry is absolutely essential. If we can't count on the police, then we the people have to be prepared for a situation like this. |
