Representative Jim Aslanides has introduced HB274 (pdf version) a permit-style CCW piece of legislation. While OFCC has many concerns over the language of this legislation were are not neccesarily opposed entirely to the effort. We support Rep. Aslanides attempt in concept, but we have many concerns over the approach to certain issues. We will be presenting those concerns to his office over the next few days. HEARING DETAILS: Rep. Aslanides bill has been assigned to the Civil & Commercial Law committee and is scheduled for sponsor testimony NEXT WEDNESDAY at 9:30am. Anyone who can attend this meeting wearing your OFCC shirts is highly encouraged to attend. They will be meeting in room 114, the same place as CJC hearings. Do you not have an OFCC shirt?
