Cincinnati's wcpo.com is reporting once again that criminals are targeting and stalking victims who are less likely to be able to defend themselves when attacked. OFCC reported here last month that criminals are apparently targeting owners and employees of Chinese restaurants. It appears that the police are no closer to catching these thugs. From the story
A female employee reported that two men jumped out of a small black car parked in a car wash bay near the Dragon City Restaurant on Vine Street and robbed her. She lost thousands of dollars, credit cards, her passport and green card. Haven't we heard on numerous occasions that criminals are not smart enough for this type of pre-planning? Elderly woman followed home, Robbed In another report from wcpo.com. Police are looking for one or more men who allegedly robbed and assaulted a 76-year-old woman in Clermont County. From that story
Witnesses say two men followed the woman home and cornered her in the garage when she got out of her car around 11:15 a.m. The woman was apparently knocked over and her purse was stolen. A neighbor says one man then pointed a gun at the woman, at which point the woman started to scream. A mail carrier nearby apparently heard the screaming and scared the two men away. As the story mentions, this woman was attacked in an upscale condominium complex. Do you think you are safe from criminals where you live? Again from the story
"I was waiting for company to come and we heard it. We've never had trouble here before," said George Klanke. The residents in this neighborhood have learned the hard way that it CAN happen to you and it CAN happen anywhere. Be prepared!
