Commentary by Larry S. Moore, OFCC Senate District 10 Coordinator: NewsCenter 7 produces a weekly show called WHIO Reports. Sunday July 10, the show will focus on gun crime and Project Safe Summer. The show's host is Natasha Williams. Spread the word for all gun owners to watch this show. WHIO TV covers a large section of southwestern Ohio from Washington CH, Xenia, Dayton, Middletown and south, north to Sidney and into Indiana. The OFCC News Team in the area will be watching. We need the eyes, ears, and comments from gun owners about this program. More importantly, WHIO television needs the feedback on the program - the good and the bad. We have no advance notice about the content of the show. Since this includes the Project Safe Summer, which recently distributed gun locks and safety material in the Dayton area, I am hopeful that the reporting will be fair. Certainly Dayton has been hit hard by gun crime this summer. I met the WHIO News Director at the Dayton Daily News Forum on concealed handgun license public records earlier this year. Her attitude and statement left a clear impression that she is no friend to gun owners. Several of the statements she presented as facts were wrong. When I called her, she brushed it off. Sunday July 10, WHIO Reports will focus on gun crime and Project Safe Summer. The show airs on Channel 7 on Sunday at 6:30 AM and on the sister station UPN17 Sunday at 5:30 PM. Help us keep an eye on the media and protect our firearms rights in Ohio. Tune in and report on the show. |
