"This email (below) was sent to the faculty, staff and students of the University of Cincinnati. Events like this have become commonplace on the campus as local criminals move their hunting grounds in search of unarmed prey." In today's world the majority of our society is oblivious to the frequency and type of crimes being committed on and around College Campuses. Some colleges have been known to skew the statistics so that students don't consider the risk of violent crime when choosing a school to attend and residency options. The fact that these crimes occur on a regular basis make many wonder why so many colleges are likely to get behind House Bill 324 (previous discussed here, see link), to completely prohibit firearms on college campuses beyond the insane provisions in place today. College staff, faculty, and students should have the right to defend themselves against anything from armed robbery to violent sexual assaults -- and letters like the one below from UC's "Director of Public Safety" prove there is a legitimate concern for personal safety on every campus.
