Reciting the mantra "Remember New Orleans", The National Rifle Association and The Second Amendment Foundation have filed for a temporary restraining order to stop authorities in and around New Orleans from seizing firearms from private citizens in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, according to CNSNews.com. As OFCC has reported several times, the NRA sent teams of investigators to the hurricane ravaged coastline. After finding the allegations to be true, the NRA teamed up with The Second Amendment Foundation in order to try to halt these illegal seizures. We applaud their efforts, and will continue to monitor the situation. |
