Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro told the Akron Press Club that if elected governor, his administration wouldn't be plagued by the kinds of scandals emanating from Governor Taft's office.

"I don't golf. I don't do sporting events, and I don't do dinners,'' Petro said.

Following the lead of gubernatorial candidates Ken Blackwell and Betty Montgomery, he promised his focus would be on educational and economic issues. He vowed to save the state $1 billion a year through budget cuts.
