Ohioans For Concealed Carry has learned that Bruce Beatty has appealed his conviction in Toledo Courts to Ohio’s 6th District Court of Appeals. More news on this breaking event will be posted on later this afternoon as it becomes available. Beatty's Attorney has advised Ohioans For Concealed Carry that a intent to appeal was filed with the court Thursday. For now, Beatty will wait until the 6th District Court of Appeals hear's his case later this year or in early 2006. The Toledo Blade has the following brief story about the appeal. Due to Beatty's case being in Toledo, and Ohioans For Concealed Carry's related case being in Clyde, the Sixth District Court of Appeals would be responsible for both cases. Ohioans For Concealed Carry will work with Bruce Beatty and his attorney in an effort to reach a mutual goal: The prevention of cities using home rule as an excuse to conflict with State Laws they don't agree with. |
