Columbus NBC Channel 4 is reporting a Key Bank in Dublin was robbed Saturday by a white male carrying a kitchen knife in an obviously threatening manner.

Luckily, according to the story, no customers were in the bank when this took place, or they'd have seen the man in the photo to the left of this story. (Bank Surveillance Photo, source: nbc41.com story)

Had they startled him, one can only imagine what could have taken place.

From the story:
According to the FBI, the man immediately jumped over the counter and threatened employees with the knife and demanded money....

...The FBI said the man jumped back over the counter with the money and fled the bank.

He was described as white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build. According the FBI, he is between 20 to 30 years old and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, white mask across his face, blue jeans, dark shoes and dark gloves.

No customers were in the bank at the time and no one was injured, according to the FBI.

Anyone with any information about the robbery is asked to contact the Columbus Police Robbery Squad at (614) 645-4665 or the FBI at (614) 744-2168.
While its likely this opportunist waited for the bank to be empty, any one of us could have walked in on a situation like this.

It is for these reasons that banks should never be posted "Criminal Protection Zones", and nobody in Ohio should bank with an establishment that proudly prohibits firearms with obnoxiously obvious stickers on their front doors.

Your life might just depend upon it.
