| Dayton: Gun Crimes Continue Free-fall |

Everyone remembers the warnings both before and after HB 12 was signed into law making Ohio the 45th state to allow law-abiding citizens to carry firearms for their personal protection. The pundits raved that blood would run in the streets and crime would soar. None of those predictions proved true. Instead, numerous stories have surfaced of licensed Ohioans protecting their lives with their firearm. Further exposing the gun grabbers lies is the fact that crime continues to drop after adding yet another obstacle to criminal activites. (Click 'READ MORE' to continue...") An article in the Dayton Daily News reports that crime fell by 17 percent last summer, the fourth straight year with a decrease. Of course, being a liberal newspaper, they attribute the factors to everything except the most effective one; the fact that criminals now have a serious, potentially career ending threat to their activities. Unlike before, there is now a very real possibility that their potential victim will also be armed. |
