The Summit County Sheriff's Office has recently trained eight of their deputies in the NRA's "Refuse To Be A Victim" program and will be offering the crime prevention seminars twice this week in Summit County. According to a press release the two-hour courses are free to the public and will include tips on how to stay safe while completing your holiday shopping, as well as other topics assist citizens in utilizing good crime prevention practices. More information can be found here on their website The Summit County Sheriff's Office Classes will be held at the following times and locations: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14TH, 2005The Summit County Sheriff's Office has encouraged the news media to attend these presentations, and FOX 8 News has apparently covered the fact that they're being offered. At the time of the press release there were twenty seats still available at the Northfield Center location.
