This story from WBNS-10TV (Columbus) is strangely similar to a shooting we reported on a few weeks ago here:

Warren License Holder Defends Himself; Teenage Body Found Following Morning

From the story: (emphasis added)

A woman fires at an intruder in her home. A half a mile away, a teenager dies from a gun shot. Police now say the dead teenager was the intruder.

The young man was 19 year old Kahlief Tye who was out on bond, awaiting trial for another aggravated robbery just a few blocks away.

This time, Tye broke into a home and found a woman with a gun.

After being shot, Tye ran through back yards until he came across a property owner who called 911.

The home invasion suspect lived just around the corner from the victim's house.

Ironically, his brother was killed at age 19 in a home in West Virginia. The report does not indicate if he was involved in criminal activity at the time:
As soon as Crankfield told her that her son asked him to call his mother, she started to cry. Kahleif is her second son killed by gunfire. 2 years ago, Kahlief's 19 year old brother, A Mifflin student, was shot to death in a house in Huntington, West Virginia.
While any event that ends in death is regrettable, Kahleif Tye brought this unfortunate end to his life upon himself by following a life of crime -- breaking into the homes of other people and endangering their lives.

Reports on the website did not indicate if the home owner was a concealed handgun license holder or if charges will be filed against her. Short of any further evidence to suggest Tye has a legitimate reason to be in the home, justified self-defense appears to be the inevitable conclusion.
