In Late November we covered the story of a Pizza Shop Owner who was ambushed:

Warren License Holder Defends Himself; Teenage Body Found Following Morning

Yesterday, the Canton Repository had a rather amazing story about the licensee, Eugene Madill, returning to Canal Fulton's "The Firing Line" to thank his instructors.

From the story:
A few weeks ago, [Madill] returned to the indoor pistol range to thank his instructors, Joseph M. Slish and Ed Lee, for the instruction that saved his life.
But one of the best quotes comes at the very end of the very detailed story:
Knowledge of the law is squarely on the shoulders of concealed carry licensees.

Slish urged the class to review often the “Ohio’s Concealed Carry Law” booklet.
It can't be said enough that knowledge of the law is the obligation of the licensee. Kudos to the Canton Repository for starting the new year off with one of the most non-biased concealed carry stories seen to date.
