Rep. Aslanides' HB347 will have a second proponent testimony hearing on Tuesday, January 17th, 2006. This is the 3rd overall hearing to be held on HB347, and will likely be followed by multiple opponent and "interested party" hearings in the future. Ohioans For Concealed Carry would like to invite you to attend this hearing, especially if you have not already attended the proponent testimony that was held two days ago. There are currently FIVE other bills on the agenda before HB347, meaning that testimony for HB347 quite frankly will not begin anywhere near 2:30pm. This means that almost anyone in the State of Ohio can travel to Columbus in a reasonable amount of time, and yet still be able to get into the room. Two days ago Ohioans For Concealed Carry brought somewhere between 30 and 35 supporters of the organization and the legislation, filling the room. This time, for the sake of simplicity, we only encourage you to attend this hearing if you have not already had a chance, or if you feel you can fit it into your schedule. Obviously, the more people who attend these hearings, the better it is for the success of this legislation. Please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it if you intend to appear at this committee hearing, and if you have written testimony please plan on bringing twenty-five copies for the committee. You may email you testimony to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it if you'd like us to have a copy of it as well. OFCC shirts may be available at this hearing for $32.00. We have a few LARGE and EXTRA LARGE shirts remaining that were not purchased at the last hearing. Payment required will be cash. If you'd like to purchase a shirt for yourself without going to the hearing, please see our webstore: https://www.OhioCCW.org/catalog FOR MORE INFORMATION: The proponent hearings are being discussed in the OhioCCWForums.org under "General CCW Discussion" -- come check it out and create an account today: http://OhioCCWForums.org. |
