As we reported yesterday would happen, Gubernatorial Candidate Jim Petro has officially announced State Senator Joy Padgett as his running mate. State Senator Joy Padgett represents Ohio's 20th Senate District, which spans nine counties in Ohio's Appalachian region. Prior to taking office as State Senator, Padgett served as Director of the Office of Appalachia and was also elected to four consecutive terms in the Ohio House of Representatives. "Joy Padgett is experienced and well respected in both houses and on both sides of the aisle," said Jim Petro. "I can think of no better person to be my right hand in moving our agenda through the General Assembly." |
