Ohioans For Concealed Carry has learned that the House Criminal Justice Committee will meet next Tuesdays, February 21st at 2:30pm in room 121. Rep. Aslanides House Bill 347 will be replaced in committee by a substitute bill -- or basically a re-write of the legislation that is better adopted as a substitute bill instead of voting on multiple amendments. For those of you who joined Ohioans For Concealed Carry in writing the committee, attending the hearings, and pushing to have HB347 fixed -- this is the day your hard work will hopefully pay off for gun owners statewide. It is not clear at the moment if guests will get to speak to the substitute bill. However, there will probably be Proponent and Opponent hearings held after this bill is accepted by the committee.
