SurveyUSA and WCPO recently conducted a concealed carry survey of 500 Ohioans. The results of that survey appeared in a recent story on the Angus Reid website.

Angus Reid is a public opinion and consumer attitude consulting company (in Vancouver of all places). The about us section of their website has an interesting statement about their purpose:
At Angus Reid Consultants, our practice areas share a common passion: to understand the hearts and minds of a public that increasingly demands to be heard.

This story appeared on their website: Ohio Divided Over Concealed Carry Laws

While the title of the story is expected from an anti-gun biased Canada, the fact of the matter is this opinion poll is split nearly down the middle, leaning in favor of concealed carry.

According to the Survey:
48 per cent of respondents believe it should be legal for a licensed gun owner to carry a concealed weapon in Ohio, while 45 per cent disagree.
So what exactly is in the "hearts and minds" of a public that is increasingly demanding to be heard?

Quite simply put the majority of those polled, time and time again, are in favor of the law-abiding good guys having firearms for self-defense even if they themselves choose not to go out and obtain a license to carry a concealed firearm.

The survey was conducted on February 21st of 500 Ohio adults and has a marging of error of 4.5%.
