Ohioans For Concealed Carry has endorsed Tim Grendell in the Republican Primary for Attorney General.

Tim Grendell has been a State Representative and is currently a State Senator representing Lake and Geauga counties (R-Chesterland). He has a history of co-sponsoring concealed carry legislation -- including Vermont style legislation.

Senator Grendell co-sponsored SB252 in the Ohio Senate, which is sister legislation to HB347 in the Ohio House. Ohioans For Concealed Carry has worked with Mr. Grendell numerous times in the past as he has sat on committees where concealed carry legislation was addressed in detail prior to its enactment through HB12.

Over the past two years gun owners have come to realize just how significant of a role Ohio's Attorney General plays in the concealed carry process. Although the Ohio Revised Code mandates that an Attorney General "shall" negotiate reciprocity it is in everyone's best interest to have an Attorney General whose devotion exceeds just complying with the spirit of the law.

In the summer of 2005 Tim Grendell was a guest speaker at the Ohioans For Concealed Carry Party In The Park picnic. We recorded approximately four minutes of audio from Mr. Grendell that you can listen to here:

Senator Grendell won the endorsement of the Miami County Republican Party on Sunday, February 26th. Grendell received 292 votes and Montgomery only managed to muster 150 votes.

Tim Grendell is a proven friend of gun owners and he is unfortunately running against a very well known candidate for Attorney General who recently abandoned a run for Governor.

In her run for Governor Betty Montgomery managed to raise significant funds now available to her in her bid against Tim Grendell.

It is for this reason that the Grendell Campaign is desperately in need of help. Visit the Grendell Website to Contribute.

Like any other statewide candidate seeking elected office, if you donate $50 (or $100 for married couples) to Mr. Grendell in 2006 you can claim a 100% refund of that contribution on your tax return next year.

If you'd like to volunteer for the Grendell Campaign we encourage you to visit his website: Volunteer Today and make sure you state that you're a member and supporter of Ohioans For Concealed Carry -- so they know that they're getting help from the gun owner community and the people that support OFCC and the OFCC PAC.
