OFCC has learned that member Dan Sayers, who had his CHL suspended by the Wood County Sheriff after being pulled over at gunpoint for openly carrying in Oregon, OH (Open Carry Leads To Felony Traffic Stop; Suspended License) has had his license returned by the Sheriff.

Dan Ellis, Sayers' attorney, questioned the reason for suspension since the crimes Sayers was charged with were misdemeanor offenses not listed as reasons for suspension under Ohio law.

Apparently, the Wood County Sheriff agreed and was unable to find grounds for suspension. Sayers is now able to carry a firearm for self defense while the case continues.
