A fight at a popular Central Ohio Mexican restaurant turned into a double homicide over the weekend where two men were shot and killed following a fight. Two others, including an owner of the facility, were injured in the shooting.  According to published reports police don't know what started the fight.

The La Hacienda Real on Sinclair Road, like most restaurants, is prohibited to those who carry a concealed handgun license in Ohio.  While not every tragic shooting can be prevented, the fact is prohibiting gun owners in restaurants isn't going to solve the problem of random violence.

The Alrosa nightclub was the scene of a a crazy man shooting four people including former Pantera guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.  Soon after that shooting occurred, it became known that an Ohio CHL holder was within five feet of Gale but was unable to stop him because he had been disarmed.

The Ohio Legislature needs to resolve this fatal flaw in Ohio's concealed carry law.
