The Springfield News Sun has a story from earlier this week that puts an emphasis on exactly why gun owners, and specifically those who carry concealed, shouldn't be prohibited from entering a park or just about any other public area. From the newspaper's website:
Walker, who was partially clothed, had a bruised, swollen face, and her eyes were swollen shut, according to the report. The officer reported Walker was not able to verbally respond and was gurgling for air. Walker was transported by medic to Mercy Medical Center, where doctors found she suffered a broken nose, other facial fractures and a brain hemorrhage, according to the report. The story goes on to report that the victim suffered a broken nose, facial fractures, and a brain hemorrhage. Serious bodily harm is an understatment in this case. While the attack may or may not have taken place in the park, the people who did this were in that park either to inflict the pain or to dump the victim where they wouldn't be seen. If an attack takes place in a park near you, who will hear the noise? |
