This year the GRPC will be action-packed. With over 50 speakers hand-picked from the leadership of the Gun Rights Movement, the topics to be presented promise to have an impact that will help direct the path of our cause for years to come. The GRPC will be held this weekend, September 22, 23 and 24, 2006 at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina. Scheduled and invited speakers this year include Attorney Daniel Ellis, who is attending on behalf of Ohioans For Concealed Carry. Mr. Ellis represents Ohioans For Concealed Carry in the Clyde issue and will be involved in our efforts to appeal to the Sixth District Appellate Court and take Clyde to the Ohio Supreme Court, possibly joined with the Bruce Beatty case. Mr. Ellis is also representing Mr. Dan Sayers in Oregon, OH. Mr. Ellis will be speaking at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday in the Renaissance Ballroom as one of four panelists on the State Legislative Affairs Briefing. Mr. Ellis is familiar with HB347, Ohio's Concealed Carry reform and statewide pre-emption bill, and has contributed to its drafting process. The Gun Rights Policy Conference is by far one of the best sources of information for gun rights activists, and the best part is that it is completely free to attend the conference. More information on the conference and hotel rooms is provided below. As in the past, the Second Amendment Foundation will not only pick up the tab for lunch and snacks, but will also provide more than $125 worth of vital pro-gun rights materials to each attendee. In addition to the luncheon and free materials, you will have the opportunity to chat with the speakers at the two evening NSSF and NRA planned receptions. This event is so important to our cause, that the SAF Board of Trustees has elected to help underwrite the entire cost of the event. Your cost to attend this event is absolutely free! Because of the number of people who travel every year to attend this event, they have negotiated a special discount room rate for GRPC attendees. Reservations for the special discounted room (suite) rate of $99 per night can be made by calling 1-800-HOTELS-1 (1-800-468-3571), and telling them you are planning on attending the Gun Rights Policy Conference. If you have any questions, please call the SAF office at (425) 454-7012 to register. You can also register online at our GRPC Registration & Information Page, or send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , or fax them at 425-451-3959. |
