As another election draws near, it is important to remember why every gun owner must get themselves, their family, and their friends to the polls. Alan Korwin, distinguished author of several books focusing on the political climate concerning firearms, is helping to remind us. He has reproduced “The Left Wing’s Gun Plans” describing goals of certain political leaders' plans to further erode our firearm rights. He claims that the list of goals was widely circulated during the Clinton Administration and was adopted as a Five Year Plan. Voting the wrong people into office next month could set this Five Year Plan into motion. How would you feel about some of the items on this list that have been included below: 1. National licensing of all handgun purchases 2. Licenses for rifle and shotgun owners 3. State licenses for ownership of firearms 4. Arsenal licenses (5 guns and 250 rounds of ammunition) 5. Arsenal license fees (at least $300.00, with a cap of $1,000.00) 12. Banning the carrying of a firearm anywhere but home or target range or in transit from one to the other 14. Elimination of the Curio & Relics list 16. Eventual ban of handgun possession 21. A national license for ammunition 22. Banning or strict licensing of all reloading components 23. National registration of ammunition or ammo buyers 29. Banning gun shows While it may seem frustrating at times to work within our political system, the alternative would be devastating to your hobby, your right to self-defense, and your right to keep and bear arms. Please be sure to research and support those candidates that are pro-Second Amendment and pro-Concealed Carry so that “The Left Wing’s Gun Plans” can continue to gather dust. |
