Ohioans For Concealed Carry has learned that a number of anti-gun officials will be presenting a "forum" on "reducing gun violence" on October 10th at the Akron-Summit Public Library. One has to wonder just how much of the solution will be based on banning guns and enacting restrictions on otherwise lawful gun owners. The presentation appears to include Toby Hoover, whose Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence (funded by the Joyce Foundation) will supposedly be speaking. A number of people from Ohioans For Concealed Carry have been discussing attending the event to hear what the speakers have to say. Meetings held in public library facilities may not limit attendance. If you live in the area we encourage you to attend to hear what "the other side" has to say about your right to bear arms and how to solve so called "gun violence" today. Remember, we are attending to watch, not to disrupt Ohioans For Concealed Carry is considering a Meet & Greet to follow in Downtown Akron. Location is to be determined. For more information from those of us considering attending or to arrange car-pooling see this discussion in the OhioCCWForums.org. |
