House Bill 274, the permit style legislation introduced by Rep. Jim Aslanides, has had sub-committee hearings through the summer. The sub-committee has heard from the proponent and opponent side of the fence.

More hearings are scheduled to continue. The next hearing will be at 2:30pm "or when session ends" on Wednesday, September 12th. (next week). The General Assembly is returning from recess next Tuesday. (read more)

Sources in Columbus have confirmed that the hearing for next week is officially scheduled. Speakers can testify as opponents, proponents, or interested parties. We highly encourage everyone who can attend this hearing to do so. If you have not spoken before the committee before please take the time to attend this hearing with prepared testimony.
