Sorry folks, it isn't in Ohio; but for two days after Thanksgiving (Friday and Saturday), South Carolina will be waiving sales tax on handguns, rifles and shotguns as part of the Second Amendment Recognition Act passed in June.

"It was to help dealers," said Rep. Mike Pitts, sponsor of the bill. "Another point was to bring recognition to the 2nd amendment."

Though South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford vetoed the bill, he was overridden by the legislature. Maybe Ohio will some day follow South Carolina's lead and give Ohio citizens the same holiday.
