This afternoon I had the opportunity to speak with Senator Jim Jordan's staff and Jim Jordan himself. Senator Jordan and Senator Wachtmann are working together to write and introduce a right to carry reform bill for the 2001 legislative season. We are working with them to bring forward concerns of our membership and your comments will be greatly appreciated in this endeavor. Please read more if you're interested... We are working on information to forward to Senator Jordan and his staff this evening informing them of our position on many issues. These items are going to be placed into consideration while the legislation is being drafted.

Now is your chance to be heard and for your suggestions to be considered. Please understand that you have a very limited time to contribute. We will be reviewing all submissions and considering them to be forwarded on. (Senator Jordan's office will also be informed of the discussion and how to view it online).

I would ask that you follow these two basic rules:

  • Make your suggestions as a comment/reply to this post via the website ONLY.
  • Make your suggestions short, brief, and to the point. Long diatribes will be ignored.

    Please understand that we will probably be forwarding quite a bit of the suggestions many of you come up with already in our initial communication with Senator Jordan's office. We will submit additional suggestions based on the discussion which will follow this thread.

    Things are just about to start heating up -- it's only a matter of time before this legislation is introduced and placed on committee schedules in Columbus.

    The best thing you can do is round up all of your friends, dress them up nice, and bring them to Committee Hearings in support of OFCC.

    How will they know we're all with OFCC?

    The answer to this is simple: We all wear the same OFCC Denim T-shirts OFCC has to offer.
