There will be no hearing on House Bill 274 (concealed carry reform) this week.
A third hearing will be held on Wednesday, at 9:30am in room for House Bill 303. While HB303 is not "concealed carry" related, Ohioans For Concealed Carry is in favor of this legislation. House Bill 303 would prevent local governments from passing extreme anti-gun legislation that is different from city to city by making the laws uniform at the state level. If you have a limited number of vacations days and would prefer to speak to the committee regarding concealed carry you do not want to attend this hearing. However, If you are intereted in attending this hearing we encourage you to wear an Ohioans For Concealed Carry shirt (or any blue denim shirt) and a pair of khaki pants. This "outfit" has become the standard look and feel of Ohioans For Concealed Carry at committee hearings. HB 303 (Young) -- Generally authorizes any person to own, possess, purchase, otherwise acquire, transport, carry, sell or otherwise transfer a firearm, a component of a firearm, or ammunition for a firearm.
