OFCC's very own Jim Irvine is extremely active in the effort to arm commercial pilots. We recently ran this news item about the House Committee passing the legislation as well as this letter to the editors of the Cleveland Plain Dealer (written by Jim).

With "polls" showing more than 75% of the nation supporting the measure it will be interesting to see how President Bush approaches this issue. More importantly, Jim Irvine's letter in the Cleveland Plain Dealer makes "The Whitehouse" claims that stronger doors and armed guards are the solution is clear hogwash.
