The Western Ohio Personal Safety/Firearm Training Group (Dayton Springfield Area) is offering the following classes in March. Basic Pistol, Refuse To Be A Victim and Personal Protection Options. When: February 14 & 15 (7-10PM), 21 & 22 (6-10PM)

Where: Columbus, OH League of Ohio Sportsmen (Cook and I-71)

Cost: $50 for 10hrs of classroom instruction and 4hrs range time ($90 per couple)

Topics Include:

  • Firearm handling and safety
  • Explanation of different types of handguns and ammunition
  • Hands-on examination/familiarization with many types of handguns
  • Information about purchasing a handgun and ammunition for personal protection
  • Proper shooting technique and basic pistol marksmanship
  • Legal aspect of personal protection and firearms ownership (Given by a legal professional)
  • Avoiding criminal attach/controlling a violent confrontation (Given by a Local Police Officer)
  • 4 hours of live fire range time
  • Firearm cleaning and storage

    A personal firearm is NOT required, loaners can be provided.
