The Beacon Journal has this story from Tuesday about the trial of a man and a woman accused of being involved in a November home invasion. If you read deep in the story you'll find that the victim managed to retrieve a handgun and shoot one of the female attackers in the leg. Thats what I call safe storage.

The following news update was submitted to OFCC from Chuck Klein, the lead plaintiff in the Hamilton County CCW lawsuit:
Because the Ohio Supreme Court has NOT decided the simple motion by the City of Cincinnati to allow outside counsel, we (the Plaintiff's) have, in order to move the case along, agreed to allow outside counsel

The Toledo Blade has this story about a home invasion. Basically two men stormed into a house, beat the occupants and continued to steal items from their home. Maybe it's time Ohio's Attorney General Betty Montgomery do exactly what South Carolina's AG Charlie Condon did last week when he declared open season on home invaders. |

Apparently a Michigan bank is giving away firearms in exchange for long-term deposits (CD accounts). You can find the story here, even though it has very little to do with Ohio's CCW fight :-)

Gun Deal is no-go at UA, Kent State
It looks like the University of Akron, and of course Kent State (go figure) have refused to accept the M-16 rifles. Now, how do I get one of these? -jeff |
